Office Information
Dr. Sweeney is a board certified internist specializing in cardiovascular diseases. His main office is with the Cardiovascular Consultants in Portland, which participate in the Cardiology Clinic held at Franklin Memorial Hospital. The clinic is held every Wednesday in the Outpatient Unit at Franklin Memorial Hospital. Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling 779-2539. The other clinic doctors include Dr. Carl Sze and Dr. Frederick Poulin from Maine Cardiology Associates, and Dr. John Moloney from Cardiovascular Consultants. Each doctor works in the clinic on a rotation basis and does one day a month.
Schooling
Dr. Sweeney graduated in 1975 from University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA, and completed his residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME, in 1978. He has been an active staff member at Franklin Memorial Hospital since August 1995.
