How can FranklinCares help me?

FranklinCares provides medical services for people who reside in Maine and are uninsured or underinsured and having difficulty paying their self-pay portion. The program covers existing self-pay portions or scheduled inpatient or day surgery events at Franklin Memorial Hospital, Pine Tree Medical Associates (Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics, Orthopedics and Women's Care), Evergreen Behavioral Services, NorthStar Emergency Medical Services, Insight Imaging Services, and other Network services.

FranklinCares provides health care services for specific treatments, and you must apply each time you need new services for a new treatment plan. People with a gross income up to 250% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines may qualify and will pay a portion of their bill depending on their income.

 

Who can apply?
FranklinCares welcomes people of all ages that are having difficulty paying their self-pay portion of their existing bills. An application can also be submitted for a scheduled Inpatient or Day surgery event.

 
You may qualify for FranklinCares if you:
 

·    Have an existing bill or a scheduled event

·    Meet certain household income guidelines based on family size.

·      Are a resident of Maine with an income of up to 150% of the Federal Poverty Guideline or a resident of Franklin County, Livermore, Livermore Falls, or Vienna with an income of up to 250% of the Federal Poverty Guideline.

How do I apply?
