Volunteer Opportunities
The gift of your time can help so many! Call us at 779-2552.
We could not do the work we do at Franklin Memorial Hospital and Franklin Community Health Network without the help of our dedicated volunteers. Our volunteers are ordinary people, just like you, with a desire to help others, a professional attitude and a willingness to learn new things.
The following items are just a few of the tasks that need volunteer support:
- Information / Escort desk / Flower delivery
- Outgoing mail
- Daily mail distribution
- Clerical
- Gift Shop
- Blood Drives
- Special Projects
- Bulk Mailings
There are many benefits to Volunteering:
Free Flu Shots, Use of Medical Library, Gift Shop Discount, Recognition Events, In-service Programs, Skills Training, Breaks/Lunch Privileges, Personal Satisfaction/New Friends.
In addition, for patients who have applied for Franklin Health Access and FranklinCares, you can use Contract for Care to help pay the remainder of your bill. Through the Contract for Care program, a patient or representative of that patient, volunteers to do an available project and Franklin Community Health Network reduces the portion of the bill the patient pays to zero. Contract for Care participants work side by side with other hospital volunteers. No one knows who is a Contract for Care participant and who is not. You can garden with community members in our Hope Harvest Garden, volunteer in our gift shop, or build bird houses for our forest, among other interesting projects.
You Can Volunteer, Too!
